Bay Cycles Chilcote Close St Marychurch

Aimed at those wanting an evening workout, this is a challenging ride taking us from Bay Cycles in St Marychurch down through Watcombe and up to meet a short section of main road at Barton, from where we will head through quiet lanes to Kingskerswell. We will carry on via these undulating lanes skirting the border of Torquay passing through Stoneycombe, North Whilborough, Compton and Marldon. At Marldon we will take the underpass then head down Preston Down Road taking in magnificent views of the bay, along the seafront and back to the start via Meadfoot Beach. This is a hilly ride so a good level of fitness helps, but the hills are short-lived and broken up with some downhill’s and winding flats. And if it comes to it, you can always get off and push! No shame in that I promise! Wearing a helmet is recommended but if you don't have one you can still join in. (Please note for those under 18 years of age a helmet is mandatory). High visibility clothing and lights may be a good idea just in case we get delayed en route. Also Please bring plenty to drink and a spare inner tube (just in case). Parking is available at the nearby council run car park (Chilcote Close) where charges apply, however, there is some street parking opposite the shop that is free from 6pm. Lisa and I very much look forward to seeing you on this scenic and challenging ride and please feel free to contact us should you require any further details: Breeze Champions: Lisa Gubby - 07824 616 551 Louise Swann - 07818 551 528
