From the start in Bootle we head out towards Hightown via Seaforth, Waterloo, Blundellsands and Hall Road close to the shore line so we will see some of "Another Place" (The Metal Men).
From there we come into Formby then on to Ainsdale via the Formby Bypass and coastal road for the short break
From Ainsdale, we head back towards Gt Altcar via the Formby Bypass then touching into Lydiate and Maghull where we do a very short section of gravel into Netherton then on towards Litherland and Bootle.
Very little Cheshire Lines and no canal
