Starting point

Cornwall and Isles of Scilly
PL30 4JA

Starting at the village of Blisland, parking on the road around the village green we will work our way past Delphi Bridge and across the moor past farms and animals roaming free up to the now closed Davidstow WWII airfield. Culminating at the Hilltop cafe for our refreshment stop and then a return on the same route.
There are a couple of modest hills but otherwise this route is not difficult.
An option exists to start at Borough Arms, near Bodmin and to cycle along the Wenford Bridge section of the Camel Trail and up to Blisland adding about 8 miles to the route and then joining the guided ride from there.

Route rating

0 stars (0) Reviews

Idyllic route of about 27 miles in total across Bodmin Moor with some amazing views and open landscape. (Adults only).

Quiet lanes across the moor and minor roads. Some small sections of main road and a main road crossing

Regular stops to re-group and discuss the next section of the route. Photo opportunities will arise.

Helmets must be worn. Drink bottle, spare tube to fit your bike and suitable clothing for the day. Money/card for cafe stop. Please check your bike before you travel for road worthiness.

Great ride for those developing their cycling skills and wanting to increase their endurance. Pace will be to suit the whole group.
