Starting point

Lincolnshire
DN21 5NS

From Upton HIgh St. we head doen into town and over the bridge, turning right alongside the Trent to the Old Shipyard and up the lane into Beckingham. Heading left and over the roundabout we head south and at Sturton Le Steeple trun left and then right at the Threepenny Bit House (old toll house) and along into Cotttam, to Rampton past Sundown Adventure land and stop at Duhmam for a break. Continuing south across the A57 it is not very far to the old railway line where we take to the tracks at Fledborough Station. We follow the old line through a few more disused stations to Skellingthopre. Here we can make a small diversion to Daisy Maid for ice creams! Then on up towards Lincoln and down onto the Foss Dyke where we take the canalside track (limestone surface) to Odder where we can have another break! From Odder we simply head North back to Upton. No body will be left behind and the avaerga speed I expect to be around 12mph.

Always a popular ride with participants, following the Trent southwards to the old railway route crossing the Trent at the Fledborough Viaduct. About 10 miles of traffic free cycling.

Mostly secondary roads, with a couple of rough sections including the canalside path and the old railway up to Harby. Nothing a road bike cannot handle.

Stops at Dunham, also possible to go via Doddington, Hall, Daisy Maid Ice cream and a small cafe at Odder.

Please bring a helmet and the means to fix punctures. A face mask should also be carried
