Blackpool - Fylde Villages Ride - 24 miler

This ride explores the villages of the Fylde inland of Blackpool. Starting at Stanley Park, the route heads east through Staining, Normoss, Singleton and Elswick as far as Roseacre, before heading south to the town of Kirkham. From Kirkham, you'll head back west, through the pretty villages of Wrea Green and Plumpton, crossing the M55 motorway and heading back for Stanley Park and the finish.

There are many little-known gems amid the Fylde villages. Your first potential stop is in Elswick, where you can sample the famous ice cream at Bonds. Another highlight is Wrea Green, where you can stop for a second time, perhaps on the village green if the weather is fine, or retreat to the cosy confines of the Grapes pub if the weather turns. At 24.4 miles this is a proper ride, so bring your cycling legs!
