We follow the Clyne Valley cycle path to the railway, where we then join the Gower Rd. After a stiff but manageable climb, we leave the A 4118 to cycle over Blackhills and Clyne Common. When we join the A4118 again near the airport, we turn right to cycle to Three Crosses. From there we drop down to the north Gower Rd (B4295), where we again turn right to Gowerton. Following refreshments we then pick up the Clyne Valley cycle route to return to Blackpill.

A short circular route incorporating a mix of cycle path, quiet lanes and A and B roads that takes us up onto the Gower ridge with a nice descent back to Gowerton for coffee, before an easy downhill back to Blackpill.

Approximately a third of the route will be traffic free on the Clyne Valley cycle route.

We will stop in Gowerton for refreshments, and will stop as necessary to make sure we are together as a group.

Please make sure bikes are in good working order, and carry a pump and spare inner tube. Although not a legal requirement you are advised to wear a helmet. Please bring any money that you require for refreshments, and any snacks/drinks you might require on route.

This is an intermediate cycle ride, and we will aim to average 9-10 miles an hour. Newcomers are very welcome, and we will make sure that nobody is left behind. Electric bikes welcome.
