Birmingham and Solihull Explorer ride

This is the second of our new, twice monthly Explorer rides where we explore areas a bit further afield by travelling to our startpoint (road or rail) and then cycle at quite a leisurely pace (9-10mph) between 25-40 miles. This week's ride starts from Yardley Wood station where we take the 9.42 train to Stratford upon Avon Parkway. Alternatives are to get on at any station en route or drive and use the park and ride at Stratford upon Avon Parkway - costs £1 for 18 hours! Meetup at station end of Park and ride at 10.20 am. We'll then take Route 5 out of Stratford along the Greenway and then take country lanes on a circular tour through several Warwickshire villages before rejoining the Greenway on our way back to the station. We'll have a refreshment/lunch stop about 2/3rds of the way round. Helmets are recommended but not compulsory. Please bring a drink and food, plus a spare inner tube and cash for train ticket home and for any refreshments you want to buy.
