On Sunday 15th February various rides will be organised by local Champions and groups of approx 13 miles
This is a Vintage/Retro Ride though any bike welcome.
Themed around the 1938 ride but all fashions including lycra welcome as a 'Homage' to the history of Women’s cycling. A fitting tribute would be riding over to the Velo Park at QEOP where the women did so well at the 2012 Olympic Games.
Meeting at the Blackheath Tea Hut which it is very possible that Billie may have stopped at for refreshment as she rode from her home in Mill Hill into the Kent Countryside and down to the coast. After a lap of the Heath we will then head towards the Greenwich foot tunnel through Greenwich Park then onto QEOP via Canary Wharf a stop for refreshment before returning back to Blackheath.
Much of the route will be traffic free.
