Billie Fleming Tribute Ride - Woodford to Harlow

Billie Fleming has a unique place in the history of cycling. In 1938, she cycled every day and set the women's world record for the greatest distance cycled in a single year. The tribute ride aims to deliver Billie's legacy by encouraging women to join in for a stage of the years' ride near them. It will also demonstrate that women of all ages love cycling, that we're up for a challenge, and we're self sufficient, hardy souls. This ride will cover part of Billie's route for that date and take us on the roads from Woodford through Epping and then out towards Stansted before heading back towards Harlow and a tea stop in Epping Forest. This is a change to the original route as there are no trains running on the Bishops Stortford line that day.
