Biking Round Beautiful Bitts Park

Not cycled for a while and looking for an easy way to get back in the saddle? Fancy a fun way to get your friends or kids riding? Our Easygoing rides are great for building confidence for all abilities and ages along relaxed, mostly traffic-free routes. They’re up to six miles long, with a gentle pace of around six miles an hour. This is a short family friendly ride through beautiful Bitts Park, starting and finishing at the café at the rear of Sands Centre. Bitts Park is surrounded by beautiful scenery with the Castle on one side and the River Eden on the other. This is a short flat circular ride on traffic free tarmac roads, in the middle of the City, ideal for beginner or young cyclists. Come along and spend the day in the park, with plenty of other activities nearby to fill in the time before or after the ride, there is rope climbing, skating, climbing facilities riverside walks and children's parks and activities, bring a picnic, sit in the park or by the river and make it a great family day out.
