We journey out through Awbridge, Lockerly, to East and then West Tytherly villages, ariving at West Dean. Outward distance 10m. The route back takes us through East Dean, Lockerly and Dunbridge, largely following the River Test. Return distance also about 10m.

The hills are gentle and the roads fairly quiet. Where we do encounter an 'A' road (A3057), we use the cycle path.

The West Dean Village Fete is probably the biggest village fete in the area and is quite busy with stalls offereing various types of food and things to buy. There's also entertainment. We shall probably arrive for lunch and spend around one-and-a-half to two hours there, depending on what people want..
