Bikeathon Warm-up (short route from Cantley) or start at Montague Park or Ludgrove

If you are thinking of signing up for the Wokingham Bikeathon (taking place on 23rd June) here is a chance to try out the short 15 mile route in advance, with a sociable group of ladies. You have the choice of starting at 9.45 from Cantley Park car park OR 9.30 from Montague Park (at the small car park at top of William Heelas Way) OR I can meet you at the end of Ludgrove (junction with Easthampstead Road) at 9.15 The total distance to/from Montague Park is 20 miles and from Ludgrove it is 22.5 miles. We will probably stop for coffee at Peach Place after completing the 15 mile route, or there is a golf course we can stop at en route if we need to.

The 15 mile route from Cantley Park is a loop to the North of Wokingham, taking in some lovely countryside and quiet lanes around Hurst. The route is all on roads/lanes so any type of bike is suitable.

Cycle helmets are compulsory. Please bring a bottle of water, a spare inner tube to fit your own tyres and a pump and bike lock if you have one. For the coffee stop, please also bring cash or card for drink payment.

To avoid unnecessary delays, please check the night before that your tyres are correctly inflated, brakes working, and chain oiled.
