BIKE NORTH BIRMINGHAM is offering free, fun group leisure rides with qualified ride leaders for cyclists of all abilities, but especially for beginners and those wishing to build confidence. There’s no need to worry about punctures or getting lost as you’re always accompanied by experienced ride leaders. They will set a pace suitable for everyone and an assistant ride leader will ride at the back so that nobody gets left behind. Our aim is always to make sure cycling is a safe, enjoyable and rewarding experience for everyone. Families [minimum age 8 years, children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult] and Adults. RIDE DESCRIPTION: Taking place in the city centre, the annual Sky Ride is a great opportunity to experience some of Birmingham’s iconic locations and green spaces in a very special (traffic-free) atmosphere. We will be leading a ‘bike train’ from Sutton to the city centre for those wishing to attend the Sky Ride event. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. Younger children should be capable of completing the ride or secured in a suitable child seat; please get in touch with us if you have any questions about this. The bike train will make a return journey around 3pm; or you are free to make your own way home if you prefer HOW TO JOIN: You need to register for a ride in advance by calling 0121 464 1020. WHAT YOU'LL NEED: Please bring a roadworthy bike and a helmet. If you don’t have a bike, you can book one for FREE. Adult bikes available from either Wyndley Leisure Centre, 0121 464 7742 or Erdington Pool, 0121 464 0520. Limited numbers of childrens bikes available from 0121 464 1020. TERMS AND CONDITIONS: • With the exception of the family rides and special event rides, the minimum age for rides is 16 years. • Participants require a leisure card (available from your local leisure centre). • Rides are open to residents of Sutton Coldfield and Erdington constituencies.
