If you'd like to have a go at testing your gears - and your legs - on a few small local hills please join us for this easy-pace ride. We'll go at the pace of the slowest rider and walking up the hills is always an option. This is a sister ride to the shorter (Saltaire to Bradford) ride happening at the same time. At 14 miles, this ride is both longer and hillier (we live in Bradford and there are hills!) The ride will start from outside the entrance to the All Terrain Cycles shop at Salts' Mill. There is free parking available at Salts' Mill, accessed from Salts' Mill Road. Saltaire station is also very close to the start point. We will cycle from Saltaire village up through Nab Wood and along Lee Lane (one of my favourite routes) over to Wilsden, then along Lane Side to Harecroft. At Harecroft we turn off down Station Road, which will take us onto the scenic Sustrans NCN69 route across Cullingworth Viaduct, to Cullingworth. From Cullingworth we will return to Saltaire via Harden and Bingley. There'll be a cafe stop and get-together at the end of the ride. It's advisable to bring a drink and a snack for top ups along the way, also some money for refreshments when we stop. Dress appropriately for the weather: several thin layers are best and a rain jacket could come in handy. Wearing a helmet is advisable, though not essential. Newcomers to Breeze rides are very welcome.
