Big Breeze Bike Ride - Solstice in the Saddle - Stratford on Avon

Solstice in the Saddle This is a lively route of about 15 miles to the south west of Shipston, with a variety of gradients. The uphill challenges are well worth it for the exhilarating down hills and spectacular scenery. As always, we wait for every rider at the tops of hills and there is no shame in getting off and walking if necessary – I do. The country lanes are lightly trafficked and the surfaces are good; no off road tyres needed. We will stop for a refreshment break at The Ebrington Arms. Our meeting place is, again, the free car park by the river on Mill Street in Shipston. Date : Saturday 21st June 2014 Time : 9.00am pedal-off and expect to be back at 12.00 noon. Note the earlier start – it is high Summer! Bring your bike in good, roadworthy condition, a small bottle of water, and kit up for the weather on the day. A properly fitted helmet is recommended.
