Here's another great ride to keep on building up your strength and stamina, with several significant climbs to enjoy! The route takes us from Loxley Road to Low Bradfield and up Blindside Lane and on to Mortimer Road, from where we'll drop down to Ladybower and head to Hope. We'll turn left at Hope and follow a pretty winding lane that takes us up a steep climb on to open moors with spectacular views. After a few more rolling miles we'll reach Tideswell where we'll have a coffee (or tea or other hot or cold beverages) and cake stop. From Tideswell we carry on through more rolling countryside, through Cresswell and up the short, steep climb to Monsal Head. From there we continue through Hassop, Calver and Grindleford before tackling the long, steady climb of Nether Padley. After reaching the top, there are a few more miles of rolling countryside before we drop down Lodge Lane to Rivelin Valley and return to the start point. Although this is a challenging route with some significant climbs, we'll take our time and stop for breathers if needed - no-one ever gets left behind! IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS We recommend that you wear a helmet. Please make sure you wear appropriate clothing for the weather. As usual we do expect you to have ensured your bike is roadworthy and that you have carried out basic pre-ride checks; we recommend that you also carry at least one spare inner tube, a pump (CO2 inflators are also highly recommended). If you have a mechanical problem we will do our best to assist you and/or lend you an inner tube or repair kit if we can, but it is always best to be self-reliant. Don’t forget to bring money for refreshments and a mobile phone.
