Route rating
(0) ReviewsA mostly flat ride following the waterways to the west of Warrington. Plenty of river and estuary scenery and wildlife, as well as many historical points throughout, that chart the varied industrial heritage of our region.
Mostly off-road using cycling paths through Sankey Valley Park and the Trans-Pennine Trail to Widnes. Using the dedicated Cycle lane to cross the SilverJubilee bridge over Mersey to Runcorn.
Plenty of stops can be had along the way and the midway stop will be at The Brindley Arts Venue overlooking the Bridgewater Canal
Helmets are advisable and mandatory for U-18 years riders. Waterproofs, gloves and warm clothing are recommended in case the weather changes. Please pack a basic tool kit and spare inner-tubes, patches. Money/card if buying refreshments.
First-timers welcome!
