Beics Brenin Women’s Rides – Red Trail Loop

This is a mountain bike ride, run by L2 mountain bike leaders who are also Breeze Champions. This is part of the Beics Brenin Women’s Ride Series. This ride is suited to women who can confidently ride blue trails and have ventured onto the red trails. We will head out onto loop 1 of the Minotaur and then head up the steep tarmac road (it is a short steep climb of approx 200 metres but is is a lung buster!) and join a section of red trail called Dream time. The end of this trail then joins back to loop 3 of the Minotaur, so we will head up this loop, cross the river and then head over to another piece of lovely singletrack called Uncle Fester! We will stop at various points on the trail and give you some 'top tips' for riding these sections. Depending upon time, we will then aim to meet up with our other Blue graded Breeze ride, so we can all cycling back to the visitors center together. Note: The trail surface may be loose, uneven or muddy at times hence is only suited to mountain bikes. 270 m max climb, max gradient on singletrack 7% & 12% on forest fire road. Min trail width less than 0.3 metres in some places. Please bring suitable warm clothing and waterproofs as the weather can be changeable in the forest. The ride will take approx. 90 mins and we should be back in time to enjoy a coffee at the Café. Helmets are compulsory for this ride, together with suitable cycling gloves and ideally glasses. These are the usual prices for afternoon hire only, so it is a good saving on the usual day rate. Booking in advance is advisable.
