Beginners Gravel ride 11.5miles - Burley

No children under the age of 16 years old.

Starting from the Queens Head carpark, a short road ride to then enter the Gravel track network at Woods Corner.

The ride is then predominantly flat gravel track taking in some amazing views and is a real ‘in the Forest’ experience. It’s a perfect route for beginners to ride at an easy pace to build their confidence with like minded riders, away from the hazards of the road. The route then loops back around to Woods Corner where we then ride on a quite country lane back to The starting point for refreshments at The Queens Head. Bring some money if you plan on participating.

A super scenic route along a relatively flat (506ft of climbing) 12 mile loop of the New Forest Gravel track cycle network

80% of the route is traffic free, the link roads that are used to complete the route are relatively traffic free as well making this a picturesque and safe route for Beginner cycling

A stop along the route in the Forest to soak up the environment and take a drink from your bottle or snack.

Helmets are needed as is a trail worthy cycle, water, pump, puncture repair kit and clothing appropriate for the weather forecast on the day.
