This ride is in collaboration with a new cycle hub at Christ Church, School Rd, Yardley Wood and Big Birmingham Bikes who are making bikes available for this and other rides today. Along with Breeze they are keen to encourage more women to get cycling and a range of cycling activities for women have been arranged for March 12th from 10-1. This is a beginners ride suitable for women and accompanied children who can ride a bike but prefer to explore via cycle paths rather than roads. It's 6 miles at an easy pace that will take us out of Yardley Wood and along the River Cole route through the Shire Park and Sarehole Mill to the Brickworks and then back for some well earned refreshments! There is a short road stretch at the start and end of the road but you will be well looked after by experienced ride leaders. You can borrow a bike (Text or ring me to book one) or bring your own. The ride is suitable for hybrid/mountain bike. Please ensure your bike is roadworthy and it's helpful if you have a spare inner tube to hand. Bright suitable clothing is recommended - NO LYCRA NEEDED! We look forward to seeing you there Gaye To book a bike or for any further info or if weather on the day looks "iffy" please call Gaye on 0773 8334271
