Beginners' Breeze from FBC

A gentle introduction to Breeze, for beginners or ladies returning to cycling after a break. We will start on the track behind the FBC centre, do a couple of laps to gain confidence and get us warmed up, followed by a short ride of between 4 - 6 miles along the lovely off-road Greenway to Arborfield Green. On the way back, we will stop for a break at Jacksons cafe at California Country Park where takeaway drinks and toilets are available. (Please bring a face mask and contactless card for drink payment.) Also please wear a cycle helmet and bring water to drink en route, a spare inner tube for your bike and a bike lock if you have one. This is intended to be a sociable ride; we will ride at a pace so that we can chat along the way and nobody will be left behind! Please remember to socially distance at the start of the ride and during any stops.

The route is all traffic free, on the Greenway or along segregated off-road cycleways. Any type of bicycle would be suitable, as long as it is safe and roadworthy. Please check your bike before coming along, particularly air in your tyres and brakes both in good working order.
