Can you pedal, balance and brake, but are a bit nervous about going out on the road? Or perhaps you’ve had a break and are a bit rusty. This ride is for you. Led by trained ride leaders, the ride will be at the pace of the slowest and we will help you if you need it. We shall explore the area around Kenton Recreation Ground and you may discover new places.

Any bike is fine, as long as it works and you are comfortable riding it. Please check your bike at home in the days before the ride. Pump up the tyres and ensure that the brakes work and the wheels turn freely.

There is a small car park at the end of Carlton Avenue if you’re bringing your bike by car. Please leave plenty of time to get there and unload your bike. Bring a water bottle, and snacks if you might need some energy.

The route is via traffic-free cycle tracks and quiet streets, although there are a few moments in traffic.
