Eggbridge Car Park Eggbridge Lane Waverton

Why not come and join us for a leisurely ride through the beautiful Cheshire countryside? Leaving from the Eggbridge car park in Waverton, we head through the lovely villages of Hargrave, Burton, Hoofield and Huxley finally climbing up to Beeston Castle after about 12 miles of cycling. The climb is short and sharp, but please don’t let this put you off...if you need to get off and walk that’s absolutely fine! We then follow a few wiggly waggly’s on our way to the Ice Cream Farm where after 18 miles, we’ll stop for a well earned rest and of course coffee and cake. Or if the weather has been especially kind to us, it would be rude not to indulge in the Cheshire Farm’s award winning Real Dairy Ice Cream, with over 40 flavours to choose from. Once we are refreshed, we head back for the final 5 miles on route 70 to eventually re-join route 45 and back to the car park. All abilities welcome, however the route is a little lumpy and is all on the public highway albeit reasonably quiet roads. This ride is suited for a road or a hybrid bike. Please bring a helmet, inner tube and puncture repair kit just in case, and it's always a good idea to have a drink with you. Newcomers to Breeze rides are very welcome, don't worry if you don't know anyone, we're a friendly bunch. Dress appropriately for the weather: in cool weather it's good to wear lots of thin layers, so you can add/remove them as needed; a rain jacket is a good idea too and wearing a helmet is advisable. If you have any queries about this ride, please email me on [email protected] Look forward to seeing you there.
