Beaulieu and Steffs Kitchen for Brunch

This route is on mostly quiet roads and traffic free cycle lanes. We start at Moorgreen Road and cycle to the Green Flag Riverside Park to pick up the cycle trail at Horseshoe Bridge and the Sustrans traffic free boardwalk which runs along the picturesque River Itchen, arriving at Northam we take the underpass to St Marys Football Stadium to St Andrews Park and to the cycle paths at Millbrook Road East to Redbridge and Eling. Passing St Mary, the Virgin Church at Eling Hill we head towards Pooks Green, passing Staplewood Campus, the Saints training ground and onto the cycle path at Applemore and across the heath to Hill Top, down Palace Lane to Beaulieu for our refreshment stop. Our Journey back takes to Ipley Cross, and the cycle path at Tavells Lane that runs parallel to Marchwood Bypass back to Eling where we pick up the cycle way back into town and over the Itchen Bridge to our official starting point at Moorgreen Road. You will be guided by an experienced Leader throughout. The route is mainly flat and suitable for all ages. Please bring clothing appropriate for the weather, a drink and snack and a spare inner tube to fit your bike, and some cash or card for coffee etc. A cycle helmet is advisable
Please Note that Car parking at Eling is free and there are toilets available.
There are Pickups at Redridge at 10am and Eling Car Park at 10.15
If you wish to start at Redbridge or Eling the ride will be approx. 29 miles.
