Bearwood adventure to Birmingham Skyride

Starting off at the beautiful Warley Woods we will cycle at a steady pace along the quieter roads of Bearwood, Harborne and Edgbaston. We will be riding on some busier roads, but wide and generally quieter on a Sunday morning (also avoiding the bigger hills!) . We will be crossing some busier main roads to the Sky Ride. We will be joining the Skyride route at Pershore Road, by the cricket ground in Edgbaston. We can then ride a loop of the skyride together if you wish or feel free to head off to meet friends/family. Ideal for the fairly confident cyclist, those getting back in the saddle or those who feel unconfident cycling alone towards the city. Please also register for Birmingham Skyride separately via http://www.goskyride.com/BirminghamSkyRide this will be traffic free and there will be free activities, cafe and the breeze team will also be there. Should be a fun day out!!! I will also be helping at the Breeze stand at some point during the day, so pop by...Also Jess Varnish (international Track cyclist) will be there at 11.30!   You will be required to make your own way home after the event.   Please ensure your bike is roadworthy (and tyres pumped) and it’s helpful if you have a spare inner tube to hand. Wearing a helmet is advisable. If your bike is not roadworthy, you will not be able to ride with the group. Please bring a lock if you intend to leave your bike unattended at the skyride.
