I'm Alison, your friendly, local Breeze Champion, and I want to help more Somerset women get into cycling. This ride is a 23 mile scenic loop through quiet country lanes of the Somerset Levels with great views of the Mendip Hills. Starting on the route 3 cycle path from Bawdrip, we head to Cossington where you can feel free to spin your legs on the flat quiet country roads to Mark. From there we have a couple of undulating roads through the pretty villages of Chapel Allerton, Ashton and West Stoughton. Then spin those legs again on the flats via Blackford to Mark before retracing our steps heading back to Bawdrip. This ride is more suited to road bikes or hybrid bikes, and for those that are already confident on their bikes, wanting to ride at a more moderate pace (12mph +) looking for a social group ride. Check your bike is in good working order (brakes and tyre pressure) and don't forget to bring a pump and spare inner tube in case!! A bottle of water is very important and ideally a helmet. Please wear appropriate clothing for the weather. We always ride at the pace of the slowest rider, so no-one gets left behind. Refreshments are at the end of the ride back at my house. Look forward to seeing you there! If you have any questions, please call me, Alison on 07760662007
