On-road route from Eastrop Park out through Old Basing, Newnham Lane, Rotherwick, Mattingley and back after we pass the Leather Bottle (nice pub!) in a loop via Bottle Lane (very pretty!) through Rotherwick back via Greywell Rd from Newnham. A few undulations but not a hilly ride. It only says "challenging" as it is just over 20 miles which will of course be more challenging for some than others. This is a more pacy Group ride which is part of Breeze Network Basingstokes 2015 group rides. We will aim for between 1 hour 45 mins and 2 hours total but will wait for the last rider. There will be three levels of rides to cater for all ladies in and around Basingstoke. There is an entry level ride, this 20 mile ride for the more experienced, and 10 miles steady for those in the middle. If you are unsure which is suitable for you, get in touch! Whether you are looking to get fitter, would like to start riding on the roads more, or would like to meet like-minded and similar ability ladies on their bikes, then this is a chance for you to kickstart your 2015 riding with a friendly group. The three levels of ride on 29th March will all start and finish at the Eastrop Park Bandstand, and after the ride the three groups will aim to meet up for a coffee stop at Bartons Mill Old Basing so we can all meet each other for a chat and talk cycling. Breeze is a ladies only network of cyclists of all abilities who just love to get out with others and ride their bikes. We welcome riders of all abilities! Hope to see you at Eastrop Park with your bike (mountain bikes are welcome if you think you can manage this pace/distance, but will be harder work!), and clothing that you are comfortable in. It is your choice whether you wear a helmet or not - we will be on quiet roads as well as cycle paths, and do recommend it. I look forward to meeting you and if you have any questions just follow ‘Breeze Network Basingstoke’ on Facebook, or twitter @breezingstoke or email [email protected] send us your questions and we will get back to you! Your leader is Laura
