About the route
Starting point
Under the bandstand (on the off chance of rain!), just off the cycle path, in the middle of Eastrop Park, Basingstoke, RG21 4QF
This is a 21.5 mile loop out through Rotherwick, Turgis Green past Daneshill School and back via Stratfield Saye and Bramley.
Not done this loop in a while - there is the usual hill at end of Newnham Lane and into Rotherwick but not much after that so a steady ride.
Aiming for around 11-12mph. Put 2 hrs in case of breaks, mechanicals.
Road bikes/hybrids unless you know you can do this pace on a mountain bike in which case bring it on!
