Starting point

RG21 4QF

Under the bandstand (on the off chance of rain!), just off the cycle path, in the middle of Eastrop Park, Basingstoke, RG21 4QF

This is a loop from Eastrop Park heading east initially. We can edit it based on the group, weather etc. Same as the ride on 21st May. This is mainly an on-road ride but starts on the cycle path through Eastrop onto Old Basing. From Old Basing we’ll head out to Rotherwick, then head north through Turgis Green through the countryside before turning for home at Stratfield Saye. We’ll come back through Bramley then head south by the Vyne through Sherbourne St John and Popley back to Eastrop Park via the station. The whole loop is 21.5 miles and only suitable for those who are confident of making it round and who have either already been out with me or can demonstrate they are capable of making it. Time limit will be 2 hours including any stops (we are not scheduling any) so will shorten the route if required. Road bikes/hybrids only unless you know you can average this speed on a mountain bike. Here is the proposed route (we will take the back lane through Bramley avoid the crossing though!) http://www.goskyride.com/SCG/ViewRouteBlank?routeID=2284 North Hants road club have some good general guidelines about what to bring and how to ride on the road http://www.nhrc.co.uk/Club_Runs_Meetings.html - see 'club run briefing notes' - which are mostly common sense and you need to be responsible for yourself. Bring lights in case of emergency and suitable clothing for the weather (fingers crossed). There are a lot of other rides online. Look forward to seeing you there! Ruth (emergency contact on day 07876 351561)
