Basingstoke: Love Parks Week Social Loop - 11m

Basingstoke is celebrating 'Love Parks' week at end of July/ beginning of August and we thought we should get involved with a ladies-only Breeze Basingstoke ride. This is an anticlockwise social, fun, loop around the town, starting and finishing at the Portsmouth Arms, Hatch Warren. It will be mostly on cycle paths of various surfaces with some short adjoining road sections. We will cycle - Past Hatch Warren Park and then through.. - War Memorial Park - Eastrop Park - Glebe Gardens - Victory Park - George V Playing Field - Winklebury Park - Beggarwoord Park And back to the Portsmouth Arms! Route approximately as shown. Note Hybrid/ fatter mountain bike tyres would be best for this route but it is rideable with care on a road bike with a few lumps and bumps on the various cycle path surfaces. It is a social ride to enjoy the parks and chat along the way. Weather permitting we will stop at the end and stop for a photo en route.
