This is an early season evening ride open to all, especially for newcomers or those who have not been out on their bike in a while! We'll be riding for up to about an hour but with stops as we need. We'll meet under the bandstand, on NCR (National Cycle Route 23) near the Hackwood Road entrance (by the Party Workshop) to War Memorial Park. After a quick check of bikes and chat about the route and how we will ride as a group, we'll head along the cycle path which takes us through War Memorial Park, and out to Crabtree plantation. Then we'll take a short on road section back through Old Basing and into Eastrop Park, where we pick up the cycle path before heading back to War Memorial Park. This is a great opportunity for maybe those who have not been out with us yet, are a bit unsure or lacking a bit of 'confidence' or want to do their first bit of road or group riding - or just want to be social! We will go at the speed of the group, no-one gets left behind! The route is ridable on a road bike if you are more experienced and confident on some lumps and bumps but Crabtree in particular is quite a bumpy path at the moment. Any other sort of roadworthy bike is great. Any queries or concern, drop us a message on here, contact us via Breeze Network Basingstoke on Facebook, or email ruth.crawford@energiseme,org See you there! Ruth
