Breeze Basingstoke presents ladies only cycle coaching, both for total beginners, and for anyone that would like to improving their bike skills, led by a female British Cycling Level 2 coach. There are three sessions, 18th August, 1st, and 8th September, all in safe surroundings at Everest Community Academy and with quiet lanes close by to practice on the road with short rides as required. The beginner/introductory sessions will start with basic bike checks so you can be more confident that your bike is safe and working effectively. This can also including looking at your basic position on the bike, saddle height etc and how to change it! Then the session will move onto how to pedal effectively and consider braking under control and progressing onto gear changing and better cornering. For the more experienced riders among you the sessions will start with a bike check and then move onto braking then cornering. Once you are confident with that we will move onto how best to ride and change position within a group, to gain confidence of riding safely and enjoyable with others. We can all I am sure learn something for these sessions but particularly welcome beginners or those who haven't seen or used their bike in a very long time! All abilities welcome.
