Hello and welcome to a nice gentle beginners bike ride. My name is Louisa-jayne (Lj for short) and I am very pleased to be helping you to gain confidence on your bike. I have been cycling regularly for a few years but I still remember that feeling of nervousness when I first started out. My aim is to gently build up the distance that you cycle while also building up your confidence on your bike. This is a relaxed and friendly ride where no one will be left behind and there is no pressure.

We will start at the Sweet hut on the promenade and cycle towards Bartons point where we will cross the road and then cycle down towards the canal. We will follow the canal to its end and then turn round and come back the way we came.

This ride is mostly off road. We will need to cycle along the road to Bartons point but after that it is traffic free.

As this is such a short ride there are no planned stops.

Please bring with you a helmet that fits you and is in good order. No helmet No ride It is also advisable that you check your bike prior to attending so that you can make sure that the tyres are pumped up properly and that your brakes function

We especially welcome newbies!
