Barton Marina Double Loop

These are two easy-ride routes rolled into one through mainly quiet lanes, and having just 2 short and not challenging climbs, riders may leave the ride after the first loop of 18.2 miles if to a time scale however, the recommendation is to complete both sections of this rewarding 35-mile ride.
We leave Barton Under Needwood Marina, turning right at the main road heading out over the river Trent to Walton on Trent and our first short climb, then onward through quiet country lanes through Catton Wood/Edindale/Lullington/Botany Bay/Roliston and our cafe stop at Roliston Visitor center..We then turn left out of RCC and first right heading into Walton and over the river Trent toward and past Barton Marina [Riders not wishing to ride the 2nd loop may peel off back into the Marina] We are now starting the 2nd loop and in 1/2 mile take our turn left in Barton heading out to Yoxall [our second easy climb] then onward and a 2nd cafe stop iat the Deer Park at Hoar Cross. From the cafe, we turn right toward the spa of Hoar Cross, and a right turn for a long descent and through quite lanes to Dunstill and then heading back home to the Marina.
