Barnsley Road Club - Welcome Rides

This is a steady 30-35 mile ride for anyone who who wants to try club riding and riding in a group for the fiirst time, or for riders who are getting back into cycling after a little time away. The ride is lead by qualified BC ride leaders who offer support and advice, as well as a bit of coaching at the start of the ride to ensure everyone is comfortable riding in a group.

The route is along rolling roads and quiter lanes around Nostell and Ryhill. We leave the town centre along residential streets and Wakefield Road towards Royston. After a couple of miles of main road, we then join the lanes and quiter roads towards Nostell and smaller villages around Featherstone.

We take a short tea stop at Nostell or Rhil 2/3 of the way around and come back into town via Royston and Carlton.
