Barnet Breeze Christmas Ride - Slightly Longer Version

This slightly longer route will leave Barnet via Galley Lane and over the horse bridge. At Ridge we'll follow a loop to Shenley before joining Mimms Lane to the cycle path on Swanland Road. From there we'll continue up to Bradmore Lane and onto Brookmans Park. We'll make our way to Potters Bar via Little Heath for a well earned rest at the cafe. The return to Barnet takes in a little sting at Bakers Street and then onto Kitts End Road and back to the start point.

Why not give ourself an early Christmas Present before the festive season gets going - a social bike ride. This is a Potter around Hertfordshire lanes to Potters Bar.

We will ring on country lanes or cycle paths making a loop from Barnet via Potters Bar. This is a slightly long version for the more adventurous/confident riders.

We will be stopping at the Oakmere Cafe in Potters Bar where we will have time to stop for a coffee and snack and catch up on all things Christmas and cycling.

Riders should bring with them water and sacks for the journey, face masks and cards/money for the cafe. Please dress for the season, that means the weather and Christmas if you fancy it. Plenty of layers and gloves are recommended at this time of the year and it is likely that the temperatures will be low. We also recommend that you wear a helmet, Check your bike the night before to ensure it is safe to ride and THERE WILL BE PRIZES for the most festive bike/rider on the ride so let your creative self go crazy. If you are any member of your household are experiencing covid symptoms at the time of the ride please do not attend the ride.
