This Father and son cycle group ride is open for anyone to join

Leaving tenpin head over to sandal beat woods onto armthorpe road along the new infrastructure cycling lanes to sandal park passing thru clay lane on bridleway to Barnby Dunn road , looping round at the side of the canal passing by the picturesque church in Kirk sandal join up with the canal towpath to Barnby Dunn . After our much needed break at the cafe we head back a different way through parks bridleways woodlands reclaimed pit top nature areas looping back to the start taking in beautiful scenery bessacarr grange and Doncaster lakeside.

A lovely route through spectacular woodland paths and beautiful countryside looping from Doncaster tenpin complex towards sandal beat woods across to the canal to Barnby Dunn cafe stop at the farm shop cafe . Return journey takes us through parks of Kirk Sandall rolling on paths thru housing estate towards armthorpe shaw wood , then into sandal beat the pit side into cantley park , looping back to the start point at ten pin taking in bessacarr grange farm etc lakeside, also a optional chance to take on Doncaster’s largest hills at the lakeside .

Some roads cycle paths woodland trails etc . The roads not too busy. Canal towpaths some shared pavements .

Stopping for our cafe stop at Barnby Dunn farm shop cafe.

Helmets are a must for this ride. Also bring a bike lock, all the essentials to repair a puncture. Cash /card to purchase food and drinks at the cafe , or bring your own food and drink.
