THIS RIDE IS NOT FOR BEGGINER AND IS A CHALLENGING HILL RIDE UP ONTO THE YORKSHIRE WOLDS. We will go from Barmby Moor to Pocklington on the cycle track and out on the Kilnwick Rd past Woldgate College turning right to Nunburnholme Village. Here we will turn left, over the beck and just as the climb starts up Totterdown we will turn left for our first hill challenge. This is short but steep pull up before it levels out and is followed by gentle undulations with beautiful scenery all around. A nice down hill follows before a gentle climb to the village of Water. We turn right here down to the pond and then left on an easier short climb before a long stretch of fairly easy peddling on the wolds to Huggate. The hard bit is over as a left turn takes us on out of the village and then the long descent into Millington Pastures and a beautiful ride along the valley bottom. One last pull out of the pastures and you have made it.We will have a well earned refreshment stop at The Gait Inn ,Millington before the easy drop back onto the Pocklington Rd and a flat ride back to Barmby Moor. We will always go the pace of the slowest rider and won't leave anyone behind. Don't forget high vis clothing and it is advisable to wear a helmet. Bring a few pennies in the case of a refreshment stop and please bring lights just in case it is a dull night. If the weather looks doubtful give me a ring Val French 07703134034
