About the route
We set off from Menston heading down Menston Old Lane into Burley in Wharfedale. After this we have a short section on the busy A65 before we find the quiet back roads to Bolton Abbey. After we pass Cavendish Pavilion the road starts to climb steadily until we reach the Strid for a welcome bit of downhill. A left turn takes us down to the river at Barden before a nasty little climb. Our return route is the reverse. Cafe stop at the Strid.
