Barclays Cycle Hire 4th Birthday Bash

It’s birthday celebration time for Barclays Cycle Hire in London – and we’ve teamed up with Transport for London (TfL) to help mark the occasion. On the weekend of August 16th and 17th, TfL is celebrating Barclays Cycle Hire’s 4th birthday by providing free Cycle Hire bikes so you can ride our Hyde Park Fantasy Loop without spending a single penny. All you have to do to get your free hire bike is register with us for the ride, (completely free!), and collect a bike from the Speakers’ Corner docking station in Hyde Park on the morning of the ride, on Saturday, August 16th. This exciting route for our Hyde Park Fantasy Loop is more than just a bike ride. Along the route we'll discover all the amazing sights Hyde Park has to offer. Riding mostly on tarmac paths we’ll experience the fantasy that is the Peter Pan statue and the 900 year old hand-crafted tree stump called the Elvin Oak. If it's warm enough there will be plenty of time to dip our feet in the Princess Diana Memorial Fountain before heading on our way again. This is a flat, circular route with plenty to see and is ideal for anyone who wants to boost their confidence on a bike all in the name of fun! * Please note this ride is exclusively for Barclays Cycle Hire users. The bikes will be provided free of charge for the ride for all registered participants. You must be aged 14 or over to use a Barclays Cycle Hire bike, and you’ll need to sign a disclaimer with TfL when you collect the bike. Please ensure you arrive 30 minutes before the ride in order to collect your bike in sufficient time for the ride to start on time at 9am.
