New Hall Mill Open Day Ride

This relaxed ride is suitable for riders who are comfortable cycling around 11 miles on quiet roads and shared paths. The route starts at Kingstanding Leisure Centre to Banners Gate, Sutton Park, enjoying the peaceful scenery of Longmoor Valley and Longmoor Pool.

From there, we continue past Wyndley Pool and make our way towards Sutton Town Centre, before joining the shared paths that lead us into New Hall Valley Country Park via Ebrook Road The route then follows gentle, family‑friendly pathways all the way to New Hall Mill on Wylde Green Road (B76 1QU) .

New Hall Mill hosts an Open Day once a month from May to September, with the Mill, Exhibition and Tea Rooms open from 10am to 4pm (last entry 3:45pm) . Admission is free, free, toilets are available, and there are refreshments and stalls on site, so bringing a little money or a card is recommended.

We’ll give everyone plenty of time to explore before returning along the same route back towards Banners Gate and finishing at Kingstanding Leisure Centre.

Please make sure your bike is in good working order before joining the ride, and bring a drink, a spare inner tube, tyre levers and a pump to help keep the ride running smoothly .
