Bankfoot circuit

This is a rolling challenging route so participants need to be confident using their bike gears and climbing hills covering 20 miles.

The route is out to Bankfoot via Almondbank and then returning via Luncarty. No Ice Cream loop.

Starting from outside Bells Sports Centre on Perths North inch we follow the cycle path up the banks of the River Tay and then along the River Almond to the lower reaches of Almondbank. Here we divert on to the road through the village over the narrow bridge and up the hill. This hill can challenge us. From there its into Pitcairngreen past the pub then onto the Bankfoot Road. We carry one the rolling road with some sharp rises through Moneydie and onto Bankfoot.
It's now that we jump on to the cycle path opposite the visitor centre and follow it down to Luncarty. In Luncarty we join the road through the village and then branch on to the dedicated traffic free route back into Perth and the North Inch.
