NEW MARSKE METHODIST CHURCH, GURNEY STREET, NEW MARSKE

This is a fairly flat route, which explores Redcar & Cleveland Parks & the homes of some fascinating wildlife. Join us as we venture through Zetland Park, over to Locke Park and then it’s up to Kirkleatham Museum & Owl Centre. We will stop at the Museum, where we will have the opportunity to visit the very impressive Owl Centre. This bird sanctuary has over 100 birds on display and weather permitting there are free flying displays and it may be possible to meet the baby owls and baby vultures.   There is bike parking at the museum, and opportunity to use the facilities. Please bring some money for a drink & entrance fee for the Owl Centre - £3.50 adults, children £2.20 (2012 prices) - Tickets are valid all day Flying Displays at 2.30pm Meerkats at 3.00pm (– the museum can be visited for free).
