About the route
Starting point
Merstone (disused) station in the village of Merstone. Free parking available.
The second ride in th BOB series. This time with a gentle slope to finish! It is another part of the Red Squirrel trail. Mainly Tarmac with a gentle slope down to Newchurch and the Peddlers cafe for a break. The surface is varied with boards and shingle in places. Some cyclists may wish to walk their bikes at this point. Lane crossing and main road assisted crossing at one point. Return journey will be a gradual climb back along the trail to Merstone.
