This 9 mile ride is a mixture of both off road and on road but it is only suitable for mountain bikes due to the nature of the off road sections. We will start by riding on road from Caldbeck to Calebreck. Here we will go off road on wide tracks across the fell before descending to Fellside. From here we will return to Caldbeck for a well earned piece of cake.
This is the ride for you if you would like to give natural mountain biking a go. The bridleways are always wide and are not technical but are fun to ride. Ride in a women only group on natural trails with amazing views. We will be riding at the pace of the slowest rider so we don't leave anyone behind.
Mountain bikes are essential for this ride and so is a helmet. You will also need to come dressed for the weather, have a waterproof with you, a drink and a snack are also a good idea. It would also be good to carry a spare inner tube, just in case you need it. As the route can be wet and muddy, a spare change of clothing for after the ride is also advisable.
Mountain biking is great fun and a good way to get fit so come along and give it a go.
