Awayday on Cinder Track to Whitby

We will start from the Hayburn Wyke Hotel on the trail north of Scarborough and follow the trail stopping at Ravenscar for refreshments then on to and Robin Hood’s Bay turning off at Hawsker to follow the road to Whitby Abbey then into the town and along the harbour and stop for fish and chips. We will then ride up to the Whale bone before joining the Cinder track and going over the viaduct and on to Hawsker returning the way we came.

A very scenic off road route along the coast in North Yorkshire. Starting a little north of Scarborough and going through Ravenscar and Robin Hood’s Bay to Whitby Abbey and returning the same way.

Most of the route is on the Cinder Track which is mostly decent surface but there are a few rough sections. We will be on roads around Whitby but will keep away from busy roads where possible.

We will stop at. Ravenscar Station Cafe for refreshments and at Whitby for fish and chips. You will be able to stop whenever you wish to take photographs

Helmets are advisable and a spare inner tube and any tools required to change it in case of puncture. You will also need cash/card for refreshments and water to drink on the way.
