Autumnal Parkland Loop II

Lovely, steady ride along the Parkland Walk, taking in the awesome autumnal colours of the trees on the route, and seeing the great view over London from Muswell Hill. We will start with a short walk with the bikes and a ride downhill linking up with the Muswell Hill Stretch of the two halves of the Parkland Walk taking us though to Alexandra Palace. We will follow the well trodden paths though the Parkland Walk and Alexandra Palace, but be warned, after rain they can be a few small muddy puddles! From Alexandra Palace, we will take minor roads back though the eastern side of Wood Green, through Downhill Park and then to Finsbury Park Café, for tea and cake. Refuelled, we will then cycle up the Stroud Green/Couch End section of the Parkland Walk back to Highgate underground station. It’s a good idea to bring some water, snack to keep you going and money for if we stop at a cafe. Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one please do not to worry you can still take part.  If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then.  We really welcome newcomers to our rides; we will always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind.
