Antrobus Cyclists - Dream of a ride round Warrington!

It's all change for this ride. Having done a reccy of the original ride, it wasn't suitable for us as a group. so I've had a rethink.

This ride takes us out of Antrobus, down through Appleton Thorn, Grappenhall and Lymm. We cross the Ship Canal at Warburton, then Hollins Green and Glazebrook. We'll stop for coffee in Culcheth, then off through Croft, Winwick, Burtonwood. Continuing West, we'll head through New Bold, Sutton Leach and Sutton Manor up to the Dream. Then crossing the M62, we'll come back into Warrington from Bold Heath to Great Sankey. We'll stop for lunch at No 9. After lunch, we'll return via Walton, and Appleton finally rejoining the Arley Road and heading back to Antrobus.

The ride is on a mixture of cycle paths, quiet country lanes, and some busier roads.

We will ride at an easy pace of about 10mph with short stops along the route, and make sure that no one is left behind.

You'll need a road worthy bike. Helmets are strongly recommended. We also recommend you bring a pump, spare inner tube or puncture repair kit and a lock. Please bring money for coffee breaks and lunch, or your own drinks and snacks, if required.
