Ancrum to Morebattle

Out of Ancrum on the B6400 we cross over the A68 and turn first left to wards Nisbet. Here we continue and take a right to Kalemouth Bridge. Over the bridge we turn right( abit tricky) for a few yards of A698 before turning left towards Eckford! At the cross roads we take a left up Bowmont Forest Hill. We will regroup on the right hand side near the top at the Floors Sawmill!
Carrying on this road we turn right at a T junction signpost Morebattle.
Then lovely views of the Cheviots passing through Blakelaw and Linton on the B6436.
We go over the bridge and turn right to continue to the refreshment stop at the Morebattle shop. ( drinks and snacks)
From the shop we continue on the B6401 to the Eckford crossroads where we take a left through Eckford village to the A698 ( Crailing Straight) traffic is pretty fast on the road so single file preferable!
After Crailing we are looking for a right turn to Nisbet ( signposted Woodside and Harestanes!)
If traffic is busy we will stop on the left to make sure it is safe to cross! Taking the B6400 we cross over the Nisbet bridge then back to Ancrum crossing the A68 before returning to outside the Cross Keys Pub and the village green!

Mostly unclassified and B roads small section of Crailing straight (A698)

Stops at tops of hills for drinks and snacks as required and the odd photo. Stopping for refreshments at Morebattle village stores

Helmets mandatory, please bring well loved bike and spare inner tube and tools for own bike!
