An evening spin and murals from Spennymoor

From Spennymoor Leisure Centre, we will cycle around the town viewing the numerous new murals. If time allows we will then pedal off on quiet roads to Hett Village for some air, panoramic views and to enjoy the flat roads. From here, we will descend to Sunderland Bridge before returning on cycle path through Tudhoe and back to the start.

A short circular route exploring quiet roads between Spennymoor and Hett Village, linking to cycle commute routes into Durham. Ideal for exploring cycleways and quiet roads in our beautiful County.

Quiet roads and cycle routes through Spennymoor and Tudhoe and crossing the A167 to visit Hett Village, before pedalling north to Sunderland Bridge and rejoining the cycle path returning through Tudhoe to the Leisure Centre

Please bring your own drinks and snacks as we have not planned a coffee stop on this route.

We recommend helmets are worn and this is a requirement for all Under 16 riders. Please also bring along a spare inner tube, pump and tyre levers.Social distancing will be in place and if we are required to assist, we will use face coverings and gloves, minimising contact as much as possible. Hand sanitiser will also be available. We also carry sweets :)
